Waste Management Joins Product Stewardship Institute

The Product Stewardship Institute Inc. (PSI), a national non-profit organization focused on reducing the health and environmental impacts of consumer products, this week announced the addition of Houston-based Waste Management as a Sustaining Partner. “PSI seeks corporate partners that can provide sustainable solutions that protect our environment from the lifecycle impacts of consumer products,” said Scott Cassel, PSI’s executive director, in a press release. “Safely managing mercury, pharmaceuticals, and other problem wastes is a valuable product stewardship service, and will ultimately lower costs for local governments.” PSI offers three levels ...
